So we waited for Annie after the show (I’m so predictable/why not) for over an hour. HBIC comes limpin’ along, having hurt her ankle jumping off the stage during KROKODIL. She still manages to come talk to the 15 or so people there waiting for her. OF COURSE she remembers Julia and I and OF COURSE she is always concerned about us getting home safely. First thing she says “IT’S LIKE A REUNION— DO YOU GUYS HAVE A RIDE HOME?” Since it was our 4th time meeting her it’s becoming more of an inside joke between us (I’d like to wishfully think) and so she writes “public transport!” I asked her about the David Bryne tour and made her promise to come back to SF. Ended with huggie hugs and running to catch the last BART train… which we didn’t even have to run to catch. BUT OH WELL I FUCKING HAD FUNZ.
