St. Vincent at Bimbo’s 365, May 27, 2009.
The months leading up to this show it didn’t seem liked we’d make it. Not gonna living in SF at the time, finding rides, no place to stay for the night, dad had a mini-stroke right before. All this shit. Somehow we made it. Somehow we stayed longer than we should have; huddle in the entryway of the Art Institute freezing but relishing in the fact that Annie did this to her face after the show. Worth the homeless vibes.

Our Band Could Be Your Life Tribute @ Bowery Ballroom, NYC 5/22/11
“In a night of highlights it’s unfair to single out any, though it’s hard not to after St. Vincent’s visceral “Bad Penny” (hell of delivery on “I think I fucked your girlfriend once”) and “Kerosene” backed by Dirty Projectors Nat Baldwin and Brian Macomber.”

She almost played “The Kitchen Song” here!
OR “The Kitchen Song” is actually the original title for “The Strangers” since she played it instead. Who knows…
